Mary's Sanctuary

Nestled in the rolling hills along the South Saskatchewan River, the Shrine Site sits high on the riverbank, overlooking a natural spectrum that could only have been created by a Divine Craftsman. Fortunately the surroundings remain untouched in terms of agriculture or industrial development. It is as if this Natural Spiritual Oasis, by unspoken law, has been designated to remain as a Sanctuary. Varied wild berry bushes and groves of aspen whisper their daily prayers. A multitude of wild birds sing the praises often echoed by the Canada geese that meet on the perpetually flowing river. The setting is completely serene, comforting and speaks directly to the soul. One can sense Christ's invitation: "This is my Father's Sanctuary. Come, My Mother will receive you!"
